Steel structure building rust removal and coating works
With a lack of quality responsibility and even a mercenary approach, which ultimately leads to frequent problems in the quality of painting projects. Therefore, the supervising engineer must attach great importance to the rust removal and coating work, and strictly inspect and accept each process, which is the foundation and guarantee to ensure the coating quality of steel structures. Regarding the coating quality of steel structure engineering, the following work should be done well:
(l) Strictly inspect and accept the rust removal quality of steel components according to the design requirements;
(2) Check the factory quality certificate of the coating raw materials, and also check the approval certificate of the fire protection department for the fireproof coating;
(3) Thoroughly remove dirt, oil, and other debris from the surface of the component before painting;
(4) Painting construction should be carried out in a dust-free and dry environment, and the temperature and humidity should meet the specification requirements;
(5) The number of coats and coating thickness shall meet the design requirements;
(6) The damaged parts of the coating shall be carefully treated to ensure the coating quality;
(7) Carefully check the adhesion of the coating;
(8) Strictly conduct appearance inspection and acceptance to ensure that the coating quality meets the requirements of specifications and standards.
